Create mod using Mod Creator

To create mods using Mod Creator, you need to download it first.

<aside> ⚠️

Since Furnish Master v0.24.0 Mod Creator is no longer supported. You can create mods inside the game. However, if you want, you can still use Mod Creator and it should work.

  1. Start Mod Creator and open β€œCreate” tab
  2. Select β€œCreate new mod” in the block in the top of the window
  3. In β€œMod info” section enter information about the mod and select logo. For the logo it is recommended to use 16:9 image with a maximum size of 1280x720.
  4. Add mod content in the right pane. You can add as much as you want.
  5. Press β€œSave” to save the mod. Now you can check it inside the game (restart the game or press β€œReload mods” in Main Menu > Modifications)

Editing existing mods is a similar process. You just need to select it in the list, instead of selecting β€œCreate new mod”.

Create mod manually (Advanced)

Creating mode is very simple. You need to create a folder with all the files you want to add to the game. You also must add a metadata file, called Mod.json inside that folder in order to allow the game to find and initialize the mod.

Mod.json file example.

{
	"Name": "TestMod",
	"Description": "Test mod",
	"Author": "My Name"
}

All mods should be placed to a specific folder.

Platform Mods path
Windows C:/Users/Username/AppData/Local/FurnishMaster/Saved/Mods/
Linux /home/username/.config/Epic/FurnishMaster/Saved/Mods
MacOS /Users/username/Library/Containers/FurnishMaster/Data/Library/Application Support/Epic/FurnishMaster/Mods

Logo

In the same folder, you can place a logo image that will be displayed to users on the "Modifications" screen within the game. The logo file should be named Logo and should have one of the following extensions: .png, .jpg, .bmp. For the logo it is recommended to use 16:9 image with a maximum size of 1280x720.

Content folders

All the content for your mode you should place under corresponding folder.

Folder name Type of modes Instruction
Models 3D models that should be imported from base files Link
Surfaces Images and surfaces that should be imported from base files Link
Packages Mod packages containing content for game made using editor Coming soon
